5/14/2009 Cleveland native Kid Cudi doesn’t stand still on stage for long.  That’s an understatement if I ever heard one.  Closing the Thursday-night festivities off with a bang, Cudi made the Newport Music Hall bounce.

Gaining most of his acclaim from his associations with well-known rapper Kanye West, Kid Cudi first put himself on the map with his mixtape A Kid Named Cudi.  Now living in Brooklyn, Cudi has been lucky to have received such a good reception in the hip-hop community…especially among college students.

Playing in front of a sold-out crowd at Newport, Cudi flew across the stage as he played hits from his mixtape as well as his upcoming album Man on the Moon which will be released this coming summer.  The album will feature West, Snoop Dogg, and Common according to Cudi’s website and myspace.

As you can see from the photo-set, Kid Cudi make sure he’s moving…which guarantees the crowd is moving too.  Receiving so much success at such an early point in his career can only bring about more buzz.

As you can see in the following video, Cudi makes sure the stage is his and he’s ready to rock the house…btw, you can even catch your’s truly snapping away in the yellow shirt (bottom right)…
